Australian Institute for Business and Economics

A co-lab for applied research, problem-solving and student development

The Australian Institute for Business and Economics (AIBE) is a co-lab for applied research, problem-solving and student development. We are inspired by the complex challenges facing community, industry and government today. Our approach is team-based: students, research fellows and senior academics work together, in collaboration with our industry and government partners to identify, frame and address live policy or business issues. Our problem-solving approach involves using advanced research tools and techniques, methods and models to envision fair, promising and feasible futures.

Our research focus areas

Informing policy and regulation to improve the operation of markets for a better society
Mapping out the regulatory and market governance changes required for the energy transition
